Fluid Power Professionals Explore Creative Recruitment Strategies at Minneapolis Regional

Over 40 fluid power professionals, as well as a few students, met over lunch this year for the 2019 Minneapolis Regional Meeting, which was hosted at the Hennepin Technical College Brooklyn Park Campus. This year’s featured speakers were John Stenz, CEO, and Karen Friary, PHR, both of NFPA member company, FORCE America. John and Karen’s presentation addressed the current recruiting market, its challenges, and some creative ways to tackle this market with different strategies, all while focusing on getting the right fit and the right person into open positions. The meeting was followed by Hennepin’s 7th Annual Manufacturing Career Fair and the IFPS Chapter 5 – Competition Awards Dinner, both of which provided more networking and recruitment insights for those able to attend.

NFPA’s Regional Meeting rotation resumes this fall in Cleveland, Milwaukee, and Chicago. Be sure to check out https://nfpahub.com/events for details about these and other upcoming NFPA conferences and meetings.
