Update to Regional Demand Estimates Report Now Available

The U.S. Fluid Power Regional Demand Estimates Report has been updated with 2023 estimates and is now available for download. This Excel-based report is prepared for NFPA by Oxford Economics and profiles the geographic distribution of fluid power products to end-use industries by state, including fluid power sales dollars, fluid power sales percentage, and number of establishments for each industry in every state.

The data in this report will help members better understand the domestic fluid power marketplace while supporting the development of company strategies and procedures. Major uses include benchmarking your company’s sales performance and determining specific end-use market demand by state.

Interested in how the report was created, industry movements from the previous report, or other questions on the report? The NFPA will be hosting a Regional Demand Report Webinar featuring an Oxford Economist who will help provide more context and answer your questions. The Webinar is scheduled for February 13th at 11a CST.

Important Reminder: Fluid power product data used in this report includes total U.S. demand of both aerospace and non-aerospace products. Total U.S. demand includes both U.S. production and U.S. imports, but excludes U.S. exports, otherwise known as U.S. consumption.

The Stats Dashboard features a quick glance at the Regional Demand Report, as seen in the image above. Hovering over each state will reveal the 2023 US Total Fluid Power Demand Estimate for that state.
