Programs like the NFPA Speaker’s Bureau are made possible in part by the generous support of industry volunteers as well as NFPA Education and Technology Foundation and Pascal Society donors. Support these efforts by making a donation.
NFPA’s workforce programs aim to increase the number of students educated in fluid power and connect them to careers in the fluid power industry. Our Speaker’s Bureau is an opportunity for industry professionals to showcase the innovation happening in the fluid power industry and inspire high school, tech school, and university students to explore a career in fluid power. These opportunities make an impact as students consider their future career paths.
NFPA can connect member companies to a school for an in-person or virtual classroom presentation and offers a draft presentation template for speaker use. Students today want to be where they can make a difference, and fluid power careers are an excellent opportunity to do so. Explain your personal education and career experience, tell them what your company does, and show real-world examples of careers in fluid power and the technologies and markets they support. The Speaker’s Bureau is also an excellent opportunity to share information regarding internships and job openings. By participating in the Speaker’s Bureau, you are helping build tomorrow’s workforce today.
NFPA is always looking for enthusiastic industry professionals to share their passion for fluid power. If you’re interested in being a part of the Speaker’s Bureau, have university contacts you’d like to share, or would like further information, please contact Mary Pluta, Workforce Program Manager, at mpluta@nfpa.com or (414) 778-3359.
