Earlier this month, NFPA member companies were invited to attend a student recruitment event at Purdue University during the Maha Conference and Exposition on campus. The event was a success with 10 NFPA member companies in attendance along with over 80 engineering students. Companies were able to network with students looking to be hired for full-time/part-time jobs as well as internships. Many said that they met with several very qualified candidates and that they look forward to continuing their conversations with those students. Thank you to the following NFPA member companies for attending: Bosch Rexroth, Bucher Hydraulics, Danfoss, HUSCO, HydraForce, Hydro-Gear, IMI, Kuri Tec, Motion, and Parker Hannifin.
NFPA hosts several engagement and recruitment events each year with our seven Power Partner Universities: Purdue University, Milwaukee School of Engineering, Murray State University, Iowa State University, Northern Illinois University, North Carolina A&T, and Cleveland State University. These universities have been identified as schools who teach a high level of fluid power curriculum as well as those who participate in each of NFPA’s fluid power educational programs. Engaging with these schools is beneficial not only for recruitment purposes but also for enhancing company visibility.
NFPA has several programs established to help get your company engaged with these schools. Each Power Partner has both a Fluid Power Club and a Fluid Power Vehicle Challenge team established on campus. If you are looking to get involved with either of those programs, including our Speakers Bureau program, we would love to connect you. In addition to our Power Partner Universities, NFPA collaborates with various schools nationwide. For more information, please reach out to us at workforce@nfpa.com or check out our upcoming events page here.
