The 2025 NFPA Annual Conference kicks off with an inspiring session by Stewart McQuillan and Sean McClung. Stewart, a paralyzed Royal Air Force veteran, invented the FAA-approved Aeroleg, enabling paraplegics to fly. Sean, a USAF veteran and aerospace executive, co-founded UAS Colorado to advance drone technology.
Together, Stewart and Sean will present Pneumatic Helicopter Controls for Paraplegic Pilots. This session will explore innovations in pneumatic control systems, showcasing how advanced technology empowers paraplegic pilots to navigate the skies. To make this experience even more engaging, a helicopter will be onsite, providing attendees with an up-close look at the technology discussed.
