The National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) will convene and co-locate an advanced hydraulics conference for off-highway vehicle and other fluid power engineers at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026, to be held March 3-7, 2026, in Las Vegas, NV.
CONEXPO-CON/AGG is the international gathering place every three years for the construction industries, focusing on construction, aggregates, and ready-mixed concrete. The event features exhibits of the latest technologies and innovations in equipment, products, and services. It also offers a comprehensive education program during the five-day exposition, with seminars for the owners and operators of heavy equipment that emphasize industry issues and trends, management, and applied technologies.
NFPA will plan and deliver a two-day conference, running in parallel with the trade show, that will offer off-highway vehicle and other fluid power engineers with information on the latest advances in hydraulic technology. Some of the sessions envisioned for the program will focus on:
- Hydraulic system designs, architectures, and products optimized for performance on off-highway vehicles with electrified powertrains
- Thermal management strategies for hydraulicly-actuated, electrified off-highway vehicles
- Improvements in hydraulic system efficiency, especially those that help to increase battery life on electrified off-highway vehicles
- Strategies for reducing the volume and harshness of hydraulic noise on electrified off-highway vehicles
- Hydraulic data collection and utilization strategies that provide system or machine-level performance improvements
- Hydraulic systems that operate in partial or fully autonomous modes
- Cutting-edge research innovations that may change the use or application of fluid power technologies
In addition to delivering this innovative program, NFPA is also promoting CONEXPO-CON/AGG to NFPA members and encouraging them to exhibit on the show floor. “NFPA member companies represent the cutting-edge technologies that vehicle engineers increasingly need to incorporate into their machine systems and designs,” said NFPA President/CEO Eric Lanke. “And they will be heavily represented as presenters in our education conference. Combining that technical content with hands-on demonstrations of their technologies on the CONEXPO show floor will provide a unique educational experience for their primary customers.”
A call for presentations for the hydraulics conference will be circulated later in 2025. For more information, contact elanke@nfpa.com.
