Support a Fluid Power Club Near You!

NFPA supports student organizations at universities with annual stipend funding to help students learn about fluid power while they work on educational and technical projects. Currently for the 2023-24 academic year, there are 19 universities from across the country participating:

  • Iowa State University
  • Kennesaw State University
  • University of Wisconsin – Madison
  • Michigan Technological University
  • Milwaukee School of Engineering
  • Murray State University
  • North Carolina A&T University
  • Northern Illinois University
  • Ohio University
  • Purdue University
  • Purdue University Northwest
  • South Dakota State University
  • Texas A&M University
  • Tennessee State University
  • University of Alabama at Birmingham
  • University of Cincinnati
  • University of Louisiana at Lafayette
  • University of Utah
  • Western Michigan University

If you are looking to get involved with these Fluid Power Clubs, see below for several ways for your company to engage.

  • Speak with a Fluid Power Club about the industry and your company.
  • Mentor a Fluid Power Club – Help to provide a project that the students can work on and guide them through the work.
  • Provide ideas to our Activity List that we share with all clubs.
  • Help supply components and materials for students to work on projects.

Additionally, Texas A&M University’s student chapter of Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) is hosting an Engineering Technology Career Fair on December 4th. This will be a good way to recruit Engineering Technology students (MMET, ESET, MXET). These students make good hands-on engineers for design, manufacturing, robotics, electronics, testing, and more.
