Mark your calendars for the NFPA Fluid Power Vehicle Challenge Design and Specification Midway Reviews, happening in December and January. This is a fantastic opportunity for industry members to get engaged and connect with students.
The reviews are 45-minute webinar presentations with 10 minutes of Q&A from the judges. During this review, students will showcase their initial design and mechanical drawings, detailing the fluid power control circuits to be created for the vehicle. They will also present the outcomes of their fluid flow analysis and performance projections. If you serve as a judge, you can evaluate one team, or all 22 of them!* This gives judges the opportunity to speak directly with each team and provide them with valuable feedback and considerations as they begin the next stage of their project .Best of all, judging is a straightforward and virtual way to get involved and gain insight into the impressive work that emerging engineers are doing in the Fluid Power Vehicle Challenge program. Please contact Mary Pluta at mpluta@nfpa.com to serve as a judge or for more information.
*It’s important to note that while this opportunity is typically reserved for Pascal Society donors, all NFPA members are invited to participate once. This is a chance for you to explore the program and discover the many advantages of becoming a Pascal Society donor. The list of current Pascal Society Donors is available on our website.
