23 Universities to Compete in 2022 Vehicle Challenge

The 2022 NFPA Fluid Power Vehicle Challenge is seeing an increased interest from both new and returning universities and is off to an exciting start! Coinciding with their senior capstone design courses, twenty-three universities have registered to compete this year.

A virtual networking mixer is planned for Friday, November 5 and we are inviting HR and education/community outreach representatives* to attend. Like speed meetings, this event will allow HR/Outreach representatives to exclusively connect with up to six to eight students at a time in segmented Zoom breakout rooms for more focused and personal one-on-one interactions.

Students participating in the Vehicle Challenge gain knowledge and get hands-on experience with fluid power components, circuits, and systems, and their use in controlling force and motion. Participating Pascal Society Donors will receive heightened visibility through this virtual delivery, and they will also have exclusive access to the resumes of the students in advance of the event. This is a great opportunity for NFPA members to discuss career opportunities with emerging engineers early in the school year. Students in attendance are from the universities listed below.

1. Arizona State University
2. Cal Poly State University
3. Cleveland State University
4. Iowa State University
5. Loyola Marymount University
6. Michigan Technological University
7. Milwaukee School of Engineering
8. Murray State University
9. North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University
10. Northern Illinois University
11. Ohio University
12. Purdue University
13. Purdue University Northwest
14. South Dakota State University
15. Texas A&M University

Interested NFPA members who are not donors are welcome to participate one time so that they can see how the program works and the advantages associated with being involved.
