NFPA’s partnership with the Heroes MAKE America (HMA) program of The Manufacturing Institute (MI) continues to open the doors for NFPA members to program graduates, all of whom have received training for production floor jobs in manufacturing and are looking to work in designated communities around the country. NFPA members have access to these candidates because of NFPA’s financial support of the HMA program.
In addition to having resume access to these transitioning service men and women, NFPA members can join roundtable discussions on best practices for veteran recruitment strategies.
On Friday, May 14 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. EDT, the MI will host a virtual roundtable discussion: Recruiting and Retaining Talent from the Military Veteran Community. We encourage NFPA members to attend and participate in this discussion.
The discussion will feature voices at the forefront of the ongoing work in manufacturing, offering case study examples and industry-specific guidance. The roundtable will focus on best practices that can be adapted and implemented with your company and the key steps leading manufacturers are taking to engage, hire and support the members of this important population. In addition, the MI will be unveiling a virtual toolkit for manufacturers that will contain the examples highlighted during the event as well as other best practices.
Please RSVP here at your earliest possible convenience to join this important event.
