2019 Minneapolis Regional Meeting

Hennepin Technical College
Brooklyn Park, Minnesota
Thursday, April 25, 2019, could be called “Fluid Power Day” at the Hennepin Technical College Brooklyn Park Campus. Not only will NFPA be hosting the 2019 Minneapolis Regional Meeting over lunch at the Brooklyn Park campus, there will be other Hennepin and International Fluid Power Society-sponsored fluid power-focused activities.
The Regional Meeting will start at 11:00 am and finish up by 1:00 pm and will feature a practical presentation by FORCE America on real-world workforce strategies.
Other fluid power activities at Hennepin include an IFPS Chapter 5 Skills Competition that brings exceptional students from Minnesota technical colleges (those with two-year fluid power programs) to compete in four distinct sections: the written test, fitting identification, troubleshooting, and a special challenge. Although, not a ‘spectator’ event, it ensures more industry folks to be available for not only the Regional Meeting, but also the Hennepin-sponsored Manufacturing Career Fair that is also scheduled for the afternoon of April 25.
If your company is interested in participating in the Career Fair, contact Bill Martin at bill.martin@hennepintech.edu or (763) 488-2484. Regional Meeting questions can be directed to Becky Schlevensky at bschlevensky@nfpa.com or (414) 778-3361.
