U.S. Hosts In-Person Fall Cluster Meetings in Milwaukee, WI

A series of fluid power systems ISO standards development meetings were recently held in Milwaukee, WI.

The following subcommittees hosted working group and/or committee meetings during this cluster meeting:
Symbols, terminology, and classifications (SC 1)
Cylinders (SC 3)
Control Products & Components (SC 5)
Contamination Control (SC 6)
Sealing Devices (SC 7)
Product Testing (SC 8)
Installations and Systems (SC 9)

Over 12 working groups and/or committees met to further the developmental progress on current projects, systematic reviews of published standards, and to discuss possible new areas of work within the fluid power industry. For many of these groups, this was the first time since 2019 that they had met in person. All experts appreciated the break from their all-virtual meetings and felt that a great amount of progress was made in the advancement of the revisions of many standards.

Seventy-Six committee members representing the fluid power industry attended the week-long meetings. Sixteen U.S. experts who participate on various U.S. Technical Advisory Groups (TAGs) attended on behalf of the U.S. fluid power industry. The remaining delegates traveled from China, Japan, Italy, France, Germany, Türkiye, and the United Kingdom.
