Programs like the Fluid Power Scholarships are made possible in part by the generous support of industry volunteers as well as NFPA Education and Technology Foundation and Pascal Society donors. Support these efforts by making a donation.
To support the fluid power industry’s workforce needs, NFPA provides $2,000 Fluid Power Scholarships to help students enrolled in tech schools and universities pursue their interests in fluid power. Since the inception of the program in 2017, 58 students have been awarded a Fluid Power Scholarship. Through this program, NFPA is committed to reaching and supporting more students living in underserved communities across the country to get them interested in fluid power careers.
For NFPA to reach these students, we need to identify organizations that are interested in and willing to promote the scholarship to students they work with. This could be related engineering or STEM organizations, student clubs, local community organizations working to prepare youth for career readiness, etc. The biggest obstacle we face is identifying the appropriate contacts who understand our mission and will promote this opportunity within their networks.
We know that many NFPA members may already be connected to these organizations. If you or you someone at your company knows of an organization(s) that may be interested in promoting our scholarship to their students, please contact Amy Zignego at azignego@nfpa.com and she can connect directly to them with more information.
