This episode features Stewart McQuillan, inventor of the Aeroleg – a pneumatic system that allows a paraplegic to operate the foot controls on a helicopter.
Stewart is one of the most interesting people we’ve spoken to on Fluid Power Forum – and he has one of the most innovative, yet simple and emotionally powerful, applications of fluid power technology.
He was a helicopter and fighter pilot in Britain’s Royal Air Force when he experienced a spinal cord injury that left him without the use of his legs. As an engineer and with an attitude of “I’ll show them…” We invited him into our forum today to hear his remarkable story and to learn more about this unique use of fluid power.
Next Upcoming Episode: August 28 | Innovative Software Helps Ease the Production of Hydraulic Manifolds | Vincent Remillard, Famic Technologies and Daniel Strati, Hydrolico International
