NFPA is in need of judges for the upcoming 2022 Robotics Challenge. The program offers a $40,000 scholarship ($10,000 per year for four years) to a high school senior who participates in a FIRST® Robotics, National Robotics League, or VEX Robotics Competition Team and uses fluid power in the competition. The scholarship must be used to study engineering at an accredited technical college or university in the United States. This scholarship program encourages the use of fluid power and builds awareness of fluid power careers among high school students.
Prior winners have gone on to study at University of Michigan, Milwaukee School of Engineering, California Polytechnic State University, Case Western Reserve University and Northeastern University.
The scholarship relies on volunteer judges from the fluid power industry and only takes a few hours of your time during May and June 2022. If you would like to be a judge for the 2022 Robotics Challenge, please contact Mary Pluta at mpluta@nfpa.com.
Please also feel free to share the scholarship information with any robotics teams in your network.
