On October 4th, NFPA members Danfoss Power Solutions, Norgren, and SunSource discussed fluid power and career paths with North Carolina A&T State University engineering and technology students, our latest Power Partner University. Members participated in multiple “touchpoint” events throughout the day and spoke to hundreds of students. The primary event was NCAT’s Lobby Day, where members exhibited products and casually discussed business and career paths with students.
Next, members joined NFPA’s VP of Workforce Programs, Stephanie Scaccianoce, in a tech talk delivered to students and faculty about the scope of the fluid power industry, markets served, careers, and industry innovations in an auditorium setting. Then, members visited multiple engineering and technology classes where they spoke to students about the industry and invited them to an evening reception. Finally, the evening reception allowed members to continue casual conversations about the industry and careers with NCAT students and faculty over some fantastic southern fare.
