Murray State University is Officially an NFPA Power Partner

NFPA’s Power Partner Program showcases universities that provide a high level of fluid power education as well as those who participate in each of our Fluid Power Programs. Our Power Partner universities prepare their students to graduate with the necessary skills and experience ready to join the fluid power industry.

To officially welcome Murray State University (MSU) as our latest Power Partner, NFPA recently hosted a Reverse Career Fair recruitment event on campus in Murray, Kentucky. At this event, MSU engineering students involved in senior design, research, and general projects presented their work to industry members so that they could receive valuable feedback on their progress. This was an excellent opportunity for our members to have valuable face time with university faculty, view the strengths in Murray State’s engineering programs and facilities, and to utilize this event as a recruitment opportunity.

“I really enjoyed this reverse career fair set-up. I think it really brought out more passion/energy from the students versus a traditional career fair.” – Kensey Sydness, IFP Motion Solutions Inc.

Now that Murray State University has joined our Power Partner Program, there will be plenty of opportunities for members of your company to get involved. If you missed the Reverse Career Fair, Murray State University is hosting an Agricultural Career Fair on Tuesday, March 14. The fair is free to employers and registration is active on Handshake.  If you are interested in registering for the fair, please visit the attached link above.

Additionally, if you or a member of your company are interested in speaking with a class or the Fluid Power Club at MSU, please reach out to Kyla Olson at kolson@nfpa.com. We can introduce you to MSU faculty and help to find a time for you to speak with students either virtually or in-person.

Keep an eye out for upcoming news and events from Murray State University!
