What does winning a Fluid Power Scholarship mean to you?
I am very grateful to receive this scholarship. This encourages me to further my education and achieve new heights. I’d like to thank the National Fluid Power Association for providing this opportunity. It is a great honor to be receiving this award.
Why did you choose to learn about fluid power?
I have always wanted a deeper understanding of how things work. I mainly chose fluid power to learn about force, motion, and mechanisms. Fluid power also has a widespread use. As it is found in many automated systems. It is crucial to have this understanding as it applies to many applications today.
What are your career aspirations? What type of fluid power job do you hope to get after you graduate?
I aspire to graduate with my Associate of Applied Science in Fluid Power Engineering. To start working immediately as a maintenance technician for Industrial systems. My goal is to learn the ropes and gradually work my way up to more advanced systems. I am excited to start working in this field.
The Foundation’s goal is to help individuals enrolled in technical colleges and universities pursue their interests in fluid power. The Fluid Power Scholarship application is available from January 2023 until early April 2023. Please share this opportunity within your network. Additionally, if you would like to serve on the application review committee, please contact Eric Pannell at epannell@nfpa.com.
