The NFPA is partnering with The Manufacturing Institute to host a virtual event on March 23, 2022 from 3:00 – 4:00 (EST) for the military and veteran community.
NFPA is seeking 1-2 industry members to join for our Heroes Connect: Military to Manufacturing event to promote fluid power career opportunities to military and veteran candidates.
Heroes Connect is a virtual engagement opportunity that directly introduces military and veteran community members to manufacturers who are actively hiring production floor employees. During this virtual session, company representatives will speak to active military or veteran participants about their business, discuss current career opportunities and have the opportunity to engage in open dialogue with potential applicants. This event serves as a great recruitment opportunity as it will represent members of all branches of the military.
What NFPA needs from each company’s presenters:
- High-resolution logo
- Preferred career page link
- 3-5 sentence company summary
- A list of specific facility locations with the most significant workforce needs
- Any specific positions you have the greatest need to fill that we can use for targeted marketing
- A list of who will represent your company during the event.
We recommend at least 2-3 people per company, but more are welcome (HR/TA, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Heroes Graduates, Military Veterans, etc.). There will be a diverse group of potential candidates attending the virtual event! - Any slides, photos and videos to be used during the event.
We understand it may not be possible, but it is excellent to highlight the inside of some plants to give an idea of work environments, equipment, culture, diverse roles, etc.
Interested NFPA members should RSVP to Eric Pannell at epannell@nfpa.com by Monday, February 28.
