Join Us for our Recruitment Event at Murray State University

Our Power Partner, Murray State University (Murray, KY) is welcoming NFPA member companies back to campus for our third Reverse Career Fair event on Wednesday, November 20th, 2024 from 9:30 – 1:00pm.

At this event, students involved in senior design, research, and general projects will display their work to industry members so that they can receive valuable feedback on their progress. This is an opportunity for you and your company to have visibility with our Power Partner University, view the strengths in Murray State’s engineering programs and facilities, and to utilize this event as a recruitment opportunity. If you are interested in taking part in this event, please register by Monday, November 11th.

Murray State University offers several engineering and engineering technology programs in its School of Engineering. This includes their Electromechanical Engineering Technology (EMT) program that focuses heavily on automation and controls within industry. The Mechatronics lab is an integrated laboratory space that houses hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical motor control systems, and robotics trainers in which students complete courses in introduction to engineering design, fluid power systems, electric motor controls, motion controls, and robotics.

The EMT program also houses an electrical laboratory and an automation lab. The automation lab houses over 20 PLC trainers, both Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Automation Direct, industrial instrumentation trainers, and a Festo Mechatronic trainer. Students built all of the trainers housed in the automation lab, with the exception of the Festo trainer. The EMT faculty pride themselves in delivering real world industrial applications in all their courses.

Our Power Partner Universities, such as Murray State University, teach a high level of fluid power education and participate in each of NFPA’s educational programs including the Fluid Power Vehicle Challenge. Engage with the Murray State engineering students this fall at our Reverse Career Fair!
