NFPA’s 2022 Industry and Economic Outlook Conference saw strong attendance and expert insights from top economists. Members and non-members had the opportunity to hear about the latest economic trends and the future of their industry while networking at the Westin Chicago Northwest. At the Golf Fundraiser before the conference, the NFPA Foundation raised a record number of $9,400.
Economists at this year’s IEOC included favorites such as Alan Beaulieu (ITR Economics) and Jim Meil (ACT Research Co., LLC) along with newcomers like Alexandra Hermann (Oxford Economics) and Blake Griffin (Interact Analysis). A common theme heard throughout the conference was the expectation of slowing growth through the end of 2022 and early 2023, then accelerating in the second half of 2023.
If you attended this year’s IEOC, the speaker presentations are available for download until Friday, September 16. If you are having trouble accessing the presentations, please reach out to Elexus Comyne at ecomyne@nfpa.com.
For anyone unable to attend the conference, or for those who attended and are looking for the next opportunity to learn and network, NFPA hosts events throughout the year including Quarterly Conferences and our Annual Conference. View our website to learn more.
