Get to Know Your Staff – Kyla Olson, Workforce Program and Event Manager

Kyla Olson

Workforce Program and Event Manager, National Fluid Power Association

Kyla is originally from Southeast Minnesota, and an alumna of UW – La Crosse. She joined our Workforce Development Team in August as a Program Manager and Event Planner.

Kyla focuses on building connections with our university partners including our five Power Partner Universities. Specifically, she helps to establish Fluid Power Clubs on university campuses where engineering students engage in fluid power research and activities. For both our Speakers Bureau program and our industry connection events, Kyla organizes engagement opportunities for our members to network with and recruit engineering students. Kyla also facilitates our Indiana Workforce Engagement Group where our members in this region have a space to discuss the industry and their workforce-related needs.

In her free time, Kyla enjoys boating, beating friends and family at a game of cribbage, as well as hiking and traveling.
