A number of opportunities to connect with students, review scholarship applications, and more are available in the coming months.
- On November 5 from 1 pm – 3 pm CST, NFPA will be hosting a virtual Networking Mixer with Fluid Power Vehicle Challenge participants and members of industry. Taking place in a speed meeting format, this event will allow industry representatives to exclusively connect with up to 6 to 8 students at a time in segmented Zoom breakout rooms. Please reach out to Stephanie Scaccianoce at sscaccianoce@nfpa.com with questions or to participate.
- Judges are needed for the Vehicle Challenge. While the opportunity to judge at the April 2022 events is only open to Pascal Donors, members who are not Pascal Donors are invited to judge the Midway Reviews in winter 2021-22 for a chance to experience what the students are working on. Please reach out to Stephanie Scaccianoce at sscaccianoce@nfpa.com with questions or to participate.
- Reviewers will be needed to help review scholarship applications for the Fluid Power Scholarship program. Reviewers should expect to review applications in April-May 2022 but are encouraged to sign up for this opportunity early. Total time commitment is approximately 3-5 hours. Please reach out to Amy Zignego at azignego@nfpa.com with questions or to participate.
- Reviewers will also be needed to help review applications for the Robotics Challenge Scholarship. Reviewers should expect to review applications and help with phone interviews in May-June 2022 but are encouraged to sign up for this opportunity early. Total time commitment is approximately 3-5 hours. Please reach out to Mary Pluta at mpluta@nfpa.com with questions or to participate.
