Fluid Power Forum Episode 82: IFPE Preview: Independent Electrohydraulic System Increases Efficiency and Reliability in Aerospace and Military Applications

Tom is a Design Engineer for Project Phoenix, a manufacturing company formed in 2014 as a research and development skunkworks project of Empire Southwest, one of the largest Caterpillar dealers in the world. Project Phoenix now holds dozens of granted domestic and international patents on its new Independent Electrohydraulic System technology. After eight years of development and testing, Project Phoenix will be exhibiting their all-electric drive-drive gear pump at IFPE – the International Fluid Power Exposition — and we invited Tom into our forum to learn more about this application and the fluid power systems that make it possible.
