University Workforce Engagement Group Meeting
January 8, 2024 | Virtual Delivery
10:00- 11:00am CT
With the Power Partner Program growing quickly and the increasing demand for collaboration amongst industry and university faculty, we decided it would be beneficial to form a University Workforce Engagement Group (WEG) so that NFPA can provide more effective connections between our Power Partners and NFPA member companies.
NFPA launched its first Workforce Engagement Groups for the regions of Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan in Fall 2022. Since then, we have seen the need to develop a group that is collaborative for our Power Partner Universities in other regions. These universities include the following:
Power Partner Universities participating in the University WEG:
- Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN
- Iowa State University, Ames, IA
- Murray State University, Murray, KY
- Cleveland State University, Cleveland OH
- North Carolina A&T, Greensboro, NC
Our goal with these meetings will remain the same: to share the strengths in the programs at those universities and stay informed on ways that we can collaborate. Our first meeting will be held Monday, January 8th from 10:00 – 11:00AM Central Time and will be hosted virtually on Microsoft Teams. If you would like to join our first meeting, please contact Kyla Olson at kolson@nfpa.com to receive the calendar invitation and link to join. To join any of our Workforce Engagement Groups, please complete the brief form here.
We look forward to seeing you there!
