NFPA President/CEO
One of the greatest strengths that NFPA has is its network of dedicated volunteers from our member companies that participate on our committees. These volunteers provide the critical expertise that is needed to help NFPA to stay on track with its mission and ultimately achieve its goals.
All the committees share the same underlying goal: enhance our membership benefits such that we better support the growth of the fluid power industry. Each committee has a specific focus and a unique blend of volunteers. If you are currently not involved with a committee, please consider doing so. As you work to help NFPA fulfill its goals, you’ll find yourself working collaboratively (and networking) within our supply chain forum—shoulder-to-shoulder with your suppliers, partners, and customers.
Take a moment to consider yourself participating on the following committees:
- Audit & Investment Committee– Develops audit procedures/policies, oversees financial operations management on behalf of membership.
- Economics & Statistics Committee– Provides direction and support to programs that provide data and other market information on the fluid power industry and customer markets.
- Future Leaders Network – Provides direction for the long-term education and networking needs of its members and encourages career growth and leadership development for the betterment of the fluid power industry and the Association.
- IFPE Management Committee – Directs the overall planning and tactics of IFPE 2020.
- Internet of Things (IoT) Committee – Assists in benchmarking IoT development within the fluid power industry and provides advice concerning the content of IoT education needed for audiences at NFPA conferences and via webinar.
- Roadmap Committee– Identifies the areas of pre-competitive research necessary to meet the future needs of fluid power customers.
- Tech School Education Committee– Provides direction and support to programs that increase the number of technically trained people capable of integrating and applying fluid power and connects them to careers in the fluid power industry.
- Standards Committee(s) –Participate in standardization work, both internationally at the International Standards Organization level and nationally at the technical advisory group level.
- Technical Board– Oversees the five-year review and maintenance of NFPA standards.
- University Education Committee– Provides direction and support to programs that increase the number of university engineers educated in fluid power and connects them to careers in the fluid power industry.
