This fall NFPA welcomed Cleveland State University (CSU) as our 7th Power Partner University. These Power Partners are recognized as universities that provide excellent fluid power education as well as those that participate in each of NFPA’s programs including the Fluid Power Vehicle Challenge.
Last week, NFPA hosted nine of our member companies on campus for a fluid power career fair with CSU engineering students. The event was a success with members saying that they enjoyed a smaller more targeted event where they know that the 40+ students in attendance were all engineering students interested in learning more about fluid power. Thank you to the following NFPA member companies for attending: Motion Industries, Applied Industrial Technologies, Parker Hannifin, Kraft Fluid Systems, Brennan Industries, IMI Norgren, Hydrotech, Inc, Permco, and Holmbury, Inc.
This was our first but certainly not our last recruitment event with Cleveland State. If you are hoping to engage with CSU and other universities including all seven Power Partners, we would like to encourage you to attend the upcoming Fluid Power Vehicle Challenge competitions in April. The first competition is in Littleton, CO April 10th-12th. The second competition will be hosted in Ames, IA April 24th-26th.
The Fluid Power Vehicle Challenge is one of the most rewarding opportunities in terms of company visibility and engagement with students eager to learn more about fluid power. While participation in the Vehicle Challenge is typically reserved for Pascal Society donors, all NFPA members are invited to participate once. This is a chance for you to explore the program and discover the many advantages of becoming a Pascal Society donor. The list of current Pascal Society Donors is available on our website.
To learn more about the Vehicle Challenge, please visit our site located here. If you are interested in attending or judging one or more of the competitions, please contact Mary Pluta at mpluta@nfpa.com. We hope to see you at one of our next recruitment events!
