Call for Proposals from NFPA Partner Organization: WEPAN

NFPA partners with organizations to advance our strategic goal of developing the fluid power workforce. One of the organizations we work with is The Women in Engineering ProActive Network or WEPAN. WEPAN is a non-profit educational organization that leverages research and best practices to promote the inclusion of women in the field of engineering. WEPAN advocates fully embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion to meet the demands of today’s innovation and performance-driven business culture.

WEPAN is calling for session proposals for their Women in Engineering Program Day (WIEP) and Women of Color Summit (WOCS). To read more about the submission process and submit all materials, visit wepan.org/cfp/call-for-proposals. The closing date is August 23, 2023, at 11:59 PM PT.

Both conferences reflect WEPAN’s commitment to support women in engineering and prioritize Women of Color in engineering and other STEM fields. The Women in Engineering Program Day (WIEP) provides an opportunity for women in engineering to network, share resources, and discuss ways to support women in engineering.  The Women of Color Summit (WOCS) raises awareness of both the common and the unique experiences of Women of Color as they navigate STEM careers. The WOCS brings together Women of Color in STEM with individuals and organizations who authentically support Women of Color in their chosen fields.
