NFPA Speaker’s Bureau enables industry professionals to present to students enrolled in high schools, tech schools and universities across the country to inspire and excite them about career opportunities in the fluid power industry. During the 2023-24 academic year, NFPA helped to connect 16 member companies to present to over 350 university engineering students from across the US. In addition to the speaker’s bureau presentations, several member companies provided tours of their facility to allow students to learn more about their company and to help envision their career opportunities there.
We’ve heard from students and instructors that facility tours and campus visits are some of the most effective ways for students to learn about the fluid power industry and companies within it. It’s never too early to begin planning your engagement with students for the next academic year. If you are looking to speak with a school either virtually or in person, or offer a facility tour for Fall 2024, please reach out to the NFPA Workforce Team at workforce@nfpa.com.
