The Fluid Power Action Challenge is rapidly expanding to communities all over the country. These events introduce students to fluid power technology and deliver a platform for open dialogue between local educational systems and the industry that provides rewarding careers for their graduates.
Together, NFPA and numerous NFPA member companies and education partners take the first step in inspiring the youth to choose a fluid power career path by offering this design and build competition to schools across the nation. So far, thirteen event organizers have confirmed their dates for this year and several others are anticipated.
To date, Fluid Power Action Challenge Champions have organized 86 events impacting 8,735 students! Backing for this program can come from individuals or companies in any industry. Expanding science and technology curriculum and supporting education by building teamwork and critical thinking skills can be a benefit to any local community.
Larry Davis, CEO of Daman Products Company had this to say about his experience: “I think every member company should be involved in the Action Challenge so that it can be broadcast to as many children throughout the country as possible. It’s too profound, too impactful to be limited to the few companies that have embraced it and are sponsoring challenges.”
Many thanks to the Fluid Power Action Challenge Champions that have helped strengthen this program and make it so successful!
