NFPA Wraps Up 2018 Regional Meeting Series in Chicago

Last week more than 30 fluid power professionals attended the NFPA Chicago Regional Meeting at the Oak Brook Hills – Hilton just outside of Chicago, Illinois. Oxford Economics Senior Economist, Mike Reid, presented the recently released NFPA Fluid Power Demand Estimates Report. Mike and his team worked closely with NFPA’s Economics and Statistical Programs Manager Eric Armstrong to develop a customer industry demand model for fluid power products geographically by US state. You can view a video introduction of the demand report by visiting the Market Information site.

Business updates from attendees showed good conditions and growth across the board as well as insight into each company’s IoT initiatives and progress. Attendees were able to network with each other and connect with NFPA staff and Oxford Economics representatives.

NFPA Regional Meetings offer a chance to meet with other fluid power professionals in cities across the country. NFPA members and non-members alike are welcome to attend, and the meetings are free! The next round of Regional Meetings will begin in spring of 2019.
