Data from Q1 2024 has been updated in NFPA’s U.S. Foreign Trade of Fluid Power report. This report tracks value of U.S. imports and exports filtered by fluid power products. Total U.S. imports of fluid power products appear to plateau in Q1 2024 while Total U.S. exports of continued to increase when graphed on a 12-month moving average (12mma). U.S. imports remain well above U.S. exports with April 2024 having a trade balance of -$321 million (exports – imports, graphed on a 12mma).
Within the foreign trade report, we can see trade balances with various countries. The table below details the most significant balances over the last 12 months, positive and negative.
