Nico Palesch, Oxford Economics

Nico is a Senior Economist within the Global Industry Services where he is responsible for monitoring and forecasting developments in the transportation & logistics sector, delivering presentations on the economic and industrial outlook, writing industry-related reports and research notes on sector-specific and cross-sector themes and trends, and working on bespoke consulting projects. His current research agenda covers the goods side of the economy, with a focus on industrial policy, the global industrial cycle, and the green manufacturing transition.

Nico holds a BSc Joint Honours Political Science and Economics from the University of Ottawa and an MSc Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science, achieved with distinction.

Mike has led project teams that improve market access by aligning resources to growth opportunities serving manufacturers, dealers, and distributors. Clients have ranged from small privately owned firms to many of the industry’s market share leaders. Ownership structures have included owner-operators, private equity, ESOPs, and publicly traded firms.
