NFPA’s Econ and Market Indicators (EMI) has been updated with January data. The EMI contains public data in the forms of shipments, orders, industrial production, capacity utilization, and producer price indexes for a variety of popular fluid power customer markets. The EMI can be downloaded as an excel file which gives members access to the raw data or viewed as interactive charts and tables with built in analysis.
Below is a screengrab of a capacity utilization graph and table found within the EMI dashboard. By clicking the table headers, members can see, for example, which industry had the highest percent change in their capacity utilization rate from December 2023 to January 2024.
