New Global Fluid Power Report and Forecast from Oxford Economics Available Now

The quarterly global fluid power forecast report has been updated on NFPA’s member hub. This report contains hydraulic and pneumatic demand forecasts for over 20 different countries. Members can also find macro overviews and sector trends for each country in this report. Highlights from the latest report include:

  • United States: Hydraulics demand is expected to increase 1.1% in 2023 compared to 2022. “The positive 2.8 ppts revision reflects significantly improved industrial prospects in the first half of 2023, particularly in motor vehicles & parts, mining, quarrying & construction equipment, and construction”.
  • Mexico: “Pneumatic demand is expected to grow by 3.0% this year, up 1.2 ppts from March, driven primarily by an unchanged transport equipment outlook and an improvement in electronic components & boards”.
  • Germany: “Though the economic picture is weak, industry has proven more resilient to the gas crisis than expected, contributing to upgrades in most end-use sector. Exceptional strength in motor vehicles & parts will help power 7.4% hydraulic demand growth in 2023”.
