Denise Husenica, MBA, CAE
Membership Manager, National Fluid Power Association
As NFPA’s Membership Manager, I am responsible for the coordination of activities to regularly engage members in networking opportunities with NFPA conferences and programs. I also coordinate and ensure the successful alignment of NFPA’s work on international and national standards for fluid power systems and components with NFPA strategic goals and objectives. I serve as the committee manager to ISO Technical Committee 131 and its nine subcommittees and five working groups. I am also the staff liaison to eleven U.S. Technical Advisory Groups, NFPA Technical Board, and IFPE Management Committee.
I have been in the association world for 20 years. I have a strong background in association management – including member recruitment, engagement, retention, and program management. Along with my association knowledge, I also have experience in marketing and communications, social media marketing, community strategy, content curation, blogging, publishing, and sponsorship sales.
When not mowing lawn or tending to my garden on our twenty-nine acre farmette, I spend my time with my husband John, sitting around a campfire with a brandy old-fashioned in hand. I also enjoy chasing around my nine half-grown chicks. Yes, I am a self-proclaimed “Chicken Lady.”
