NFPA is proud to announce that Murray State University has met the requirements to become a Power Partner university. The Power Partner Program is a recognition program designed to showcase universities that actively participate in all NFPA fluid power educational programs and provides special opportunities for NFPA members to connect with students interested in careers in the fluid power industry.
For Murray State University’s inaugural year as a Power Partner university, NFPA will cover the registration fee for member companies to attend their STEM Career Fair on September 28, 2022, from 2 PM – 5 PM CDT. Simply choose NFPA Member under “registration type.” Register early as space is limited, and Murray State will be conducting an email and social media campaign highlighting NFPA members to the student populations involved in fluid power related degree programs.
Additionally, Murray State’s Career Services department will be hosting an exclusive webinar for NFPA members on August 9, 2022, at 1 PM CDT to offer tips on how to recruit students at the upcoming career fair successfully and how to best stay engaged. HR representatives do not want to miss this opportunity to connect directly with the Career Services department Director and staff to learn how to recruit students.
Students enrolled in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electromechanical Engineering Technology (Automation and Controls Engineering), Manufacturing Engineering Technology, and Ag Technology programs will be invited to attend and to look for NFPA members at the career fair.
Murray State University is joining the Milwaukee School of Engineering, Purdue University, and Iowa State University as NFPA’s Power Partner universities that meet program eligibility requirements.
To be considered as a Power Partner, the university must:
- Participate in the Speaker’s Bureau program
- Participate in the Fluid Power Vehicle Challenge
- Have a Fluid Power Club
- Host a student/industry connection event
- Teach the ten core fluid power competencies
