Heroes Connect Event:  Clippard Instrument Laboratory & Moseys Production Machinists

Last month, the National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) worked with The Manufacturing Institute to host a virtual event called Heroes Connect through the Heroes MAKE America Program. In partnership with the Department of Defense, Heroes MAKE America offers military personnel a 10-week career skills training program before leaving active duty. Their training supports transitioning service members with the industry-specific skills and certifications necessary to build a successful career in manufacturing.

NFPA industry members, Clippard Instrument Laboratory & Moseys Production Machinists, presented their career opportunities to active military personnel and veterans during the Heroes Connect zoom presentation.

Clippard Instrument Laboratory is a family-owned manufacturer which had 75 + years in the fluid power industry. Their headquarters are located in Cincinnati, Ohio, but they have locations worldwide in Brussels, Belgium, and Wuxi, China. They have over 220 employees worldwide, and its workforce is represented by 55% of women. They produce equipment for 3D Bioprinting, Dialysis, Electric Vehicles, and hundreds of medical equipment that we use in our daily lives.

Moseys Production Machinists is a veteran-owned manufactory company located in Anaheim, California. As a 3rd generation family-owned company, its values will also resonate with the military and veteran company: honesty, integrity, customer-focused, relationship, and stewardship. Mosey’s produces equipment for medical laboratories, medical devices, aerospace, oil/gas industry, and automotive.

NFPA’s partnership with Heroes MAKE America gives our industry members access to the resumes of military personnel who graduate from the HMA 10-week program. These service persons have received training for production floor jobs in manufacturing and are looking to work in communities around the country.

Industry members who are interested in presenting their careers opportunities to our active military and veteran community for Heroes Connect or receiving Heroes MAKE America graduates’ resumes can contact NFPA Workforce Program Manager Eric Pannell at epannell@nfpa.com or 414-778-3364.
