“We need people, with the right skills, to do the jobs of the future, and quite frankly, we needed them yesterday.”

The Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (FAME) Advanced Manufacturing Technician (AMT) program helps create talent pipelines to in-demand manufacturing jobs by combining technical education with work experience at partner companies. In this work-study program, students attend a partnering technical college two days a week while receiving on-the-job training at an industry partner who pays a competitive wage three days a week. Because many NFPA members tell us that they are not only looking for fluid power technicians, but also general manufacturing talent, this is an excellent program to take part in.
AMT graduates gain valuable technical knowledge in fluid power, electricity, mechanical drives and fabrication while receiving an associate degree with at least 60 credit hours and two years (1,800 hours) of on-the-job training and work experience.
Join the FAME AMT program for better access to top manufacturing talent.
There are currently 32 FAME Chapters in 13 states: Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia.
Contact Eric Pannell at epannell@nfpa.com or (414) 778-3364 if you are interested in getting involved with the FAME AMT program.
