NFPA Adds VEX Robotics to Robotics Challenge Scholarship Eligibility

One of the ways the National Fluid Power Association (NFPA) invests in tomorrow’s workforce is by supporting students in their pursuit of fluid power education, like we do with the Robotics Challenge Scholarship Program. In an effort to help more students, NFPA has expanded eligibility for the Robotics Challenge Scholarship to include students who participate in the VEX Robotics program.

The Robotics Challenge offers a $40,000 ($10,000 per year for four years) scholarship to a high school senior who participates in a FIRST® Robotics, National Robotics League, or VEX Robotics Competition Team and uses fluid power in the competition. Students must use the scholarship to study engineering at an accredited technical college or university in the United States. This scholarship program encourages the use of fluid power and builds awareness of fluid power careers among high school students.

You can help us build the fluid power workforce by serving as a judge for this scholarship program and promoting it in your professional and social networks. For additional information, or to sign up to be a judge, contact Mary Pluta at mpluta@nfpa.com.
