The 2020 Industry & Economic Outlook Conference brought the engaging content and thought-provoking insights that our members expect when strategizing for the year ahead — all through an innovative virtual experience. A total of 120 companies joined us via the custom online platform to learn about what’s next in the fluid power economy.
Attendees heard insights from experts, such as Alan Beaulieu and Sam Potolicchio, regarding everything from COVID-19’s impact on the economy to the influence of the 2020 election on the country’s financial state. The main take-away from our 13 presentations was that the current pandemic is affecting nearly every aspect of our society and economy. However, there is hope that economic recovery is possible beginning as soon as 2021 depending on the future of COVID-19 and the response of state and federal leaders.
Bringing this information to our attendees via a virtual platform proved to be an effective option; members noted their praise for the adaptation of the IEOC into an accessible online experience.
Even though the networking worked a bit differently from at in-person events, members made the valuable connections the IEOC is known for using various networking tools. Attendee favorites included live Ask The Speaker sessions, virtual networking rooms and public discussion via a site-wide chat feature.
Registrants who missed a session or would just like to re-visit one can continue to access presentations on the event platform using the same login information used at the event. They will be available until October of this year.
Members who didn’t register for the 2020 IEOC can purchase access the presentation recordings and materials here. In addition to access to valuable content, purchasing access before August 31 enters you in a drawing for a free 2021 IEOC registration. Attendees who registered before the event will also be included in this drawing opportunity.
Thank you to all our attendees for helping to make the first virtual IEOC a success, we’ll see you next year!
