Amazing things happen when our members host or participate in an NFPA Fluid Power Action Challenge event. Middle and high school students learn about fluid power through this hands-on design and build competition. Teams leverage their STEM education and key life skills—problem-solving, teamwork, time management, communication, and project management—to solve an engineering problem.
Members, there is still time to host your own Fluid Power Action Challenge (FPAC) this academic year, or you can volunteer at one of the events already scheduled. Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) is seeking volunteers for their upcoming challenge.
Volunteer at MSOE’s Fluid Power Challenge
Join us at MSOE’s Kern Center for their annual Fluid Power Challenge! This exciting event invites middle school students to learn about fluid power and design and build a device to complete a challenge that changes annually. No prior fluid power experience is required to volunteer and make a difference!
Volunteering Opportunities:
- Workshop Day
Tuesday, April 8th | 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. - Competition Day (Highest Need)

Speak with Emerging Talent at MSOE
MSOE’s Fluid Power Club is seeking industry representatives to engage with their members this upcoming spring semester. This is an excellent opportunity to connect with students passionate about fluid power and share insights about your company and the industry. If you’d like to participate in either of these opportunities, please reach out to James Foster at jfoster@nfpa.com for more details.
