Video: 2017 Update to NFPA Technology Roadmap

Eric Lanke NFPA CEO

By Eric Lanke
NFPA President/CEO

The latest CEO video is a re-recording of the presentation I gave at the 2017 Industry and Economic Outlook Conference Technology Roadmap Forum lunch session, which covered the content of 2017 NFPA Technology Roadmap updates.

The NFPA Technology Roadmap was created to provide an industry-wide consensus on the pre-competitive research and development needs of the fluid power industry and its customers. The first Roadmap was published in 2009, and the document is updated every two years by the NFPA Roadmap Committee, which currently consists of 77 industry leaders and experts.

The presentation goes in depth into how the Roadmap was made as well as a broad overview of its contents, including the overarching customer drivers, research challenges, and research targets. The document itself is available for download here.

Interested members are welcome to contact me to give a presentation of the Roadmap in greater detail at NFPA member or affiliated partner events.
