Two U.S. TAG to ISO/TC 131/SC 4 Standards Development Committee Members Retire

Jim MillerPhil RobinsonU.S. TAG to ISO/TC 131/SC 4 (Connectors and similar products and components) chair Phil Robinson, Parker Hannifin Corp., and vice chair Jim Miller, Deere & Company, have recently retired. NFPA would like to thank each of them for their many years of service. Both gentlemen have contributed to the successful development of multiple ISO Standards. Robinson and Miller also served as U.S. experts representing the U.S. fluid power industry at numerous ISO/TC 131 meetings. Their leadership and dedication within the U.S. TAG is greatly appreciated and they will be missed.

The U. S. Technical Advisory Group (U.S. TAG) to ISO/TC 131 provides input and promotes U.S. interests in the development of the International Standards Organization (ISO) standards for fluid power products and systems. NFPA administers the U.S. TAG on behalf of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). The membership of the U.S. TAG is made up of more than 150 participants from more than 80 U.S. companies, universities, government, technical societies and trade associations.

There is a need for member companies and their customers to get involved in ISO standards for fluid power. Getting involved is as easy as joining a USA national committee and reviewing and commenting on documents. Click here to learn how you can have a voice in standards development. Questions?
