Teaching Grant Supports Test Station at Purdue

teaching grant at PurdueI recently visited Purdue University to learn about the Educational Test Station for Multi-User Load-Sensing System Education Test Station project, supported the NFPA Education and Technology Foundation with a teaching grant.  The goal of this project is to build an apparatus that will be used in the fluid power laboratory to teach both undergraduate and graduate level students the basic principles of load sensing systems operation through hands-on experience.  A team consisting of five engineering students contributed to the design of the test station.  Beginning in fall 2015, the test station will be used by more than 50 students each year to learn about load sensing.
