Most NFPA members are familiar with Hannover Messe, one of the world’s largest industrial trade shows. Many also know that from April 25-29, 2016, the United States, for the very first time in the show’s 68-year history, will serve as the partner country at the show. This will put an extra big spotlight on any U.S. company exhibiting at the show.
What NFPA members may not know is that the U.S. Commercial Service is organizing the U.S. pavilions at the show and offering additional free services to U.S. participants with one-on-one executive foreign market counseling for 28 countries, foreign buyer guided booth tour stops at U.S. pavilions, and promotion of your company. See this flyer for more details.
Additionally, many U.S. states are offering subsidies to help U.S. companies defer the costs of attending and exhibiting at the show. Each state is offering different subsidies so it is recommended that you contact your local U.S. Commercial Service office.
This contact sheet provides the contact information for the U.S. Commercial Service offices in the states with the most NFPA members. These are the individuals you should contact if you are interested in exploring the subsidies for your appearance at Hannover Messe. If your state is not listed, and you’re interested in learning more, you can search the offices by zip code here: https://export.gov/usoffices/index.asp
The U.S. Commercial Service is the export assistance agency of the U.S. federal government that is part of the U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration (ITA). ITA works to improve the global business environment and help U.S. companies compete in foreign markets. Each U.S. Commercial Service office is part of a global network of offices in over 100 U.S. cities and in over 70 countries housed within our U.S. embassies and consulates.
