The 2016 Fluid Power Innovation and Research Conference (FPIRC) is fast approaching! To be held October 10-12, 2016, at the Hyatt Regency in Minneapolis, the conference is co-sponsored by NFPA and the Center for Compact and Efficient Fluid Power (CCEFP), and is the premier conference for fluid power industry and academic research in North America. It connects industry to university resources and talent through technical sessions, networking opportunities, laboratory tours, and panel discussions on the technologies and workforce skills needed to continue growing the fluid power industry.
Several NFPA members have already signed up for one of the conference sponsorship packages, which this year include exhibit and speed meeting tables for the sponsoring company. Exhibit tables provide the opportunity to make connections with practitioners, researchers, students and better showcase the company to the general audience. The exhibit spaces include a 6-foot skirted table for small demonstration equipment and literature display. Speed meeting tables allow the company to meet one-on-one with the graduating fluid power engineers attending and presenting at the conference. The speed meetings are “mini-interviews,” as many of these graduates are now looking for employment in the fluid power industry. The CCEFP has a track record of moving two-thirds of its graduates into industry, and these speed meeting tables are one of the best ways to make those important connections.
Break, breakfast and lunch sponsorships are also available for companies not interested in exhibiting or the speed meetings.
