NFPA Welcomes New Marketing Manager

Katrina Schwarz joined NFPA on September 23rd as Association Marketing Manager with our Membership and Communications Team. She comes to us having recently completed a Master of Arts in Media Studies, which followed upon a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/Documentary Film, both from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

While pursuing her education, Katrina held a series of jobs and internships, including student reporter for a local newspaper, a marketing and public relations internship, membership intern for a local association, and she was also a Journalism/Marketing teaching assistant.

Among Katrina’s varied talents is languages—she speaks German fluently and was a copy-writing/e-commerce summer intern for a newspaper in Potsdam, Germany. While there, she took the opportunity to learn Polish. She also has an advanced command of Spanish and some Japanese.

Katrina will be responsible for executing NFPA’s marketing and social media strategies.
