Every year since launching our own Fluid Power Challenge Program in the United States, NFPA has gone on to sponsor one of the teams that compete in the original Canadian Fluid Power Challenge, hosted and organized by the Canadian Fluid Power Association (CFPA). This year’s “NFPA” team was from suburban Toronto: North Kipling Junior Middle School. They and 20 other middle school teams competed in CFPA’s 2016 Challenge. Here’s the note I received from Challenge organizer John Bachmann:

Hi Eric
Our 2016 Toronto Edition of the Canadian Fluid Power Challenge was a great success with 21 teams competing. Also well-received was the field trip on the morning of the competition day that took our teachers on a tour of a plant using injection molding equipment (that uses a lot of hydraulics and pneumatics) to make automobile parts such as bumpers and running boards.
A photo album of the Competition Day is posted at:

Feel free to download any of these photos.
We really appreciate the NFPA’s stepping forward to support this year’s Challenge with your sponsorship of North Kipling Junior Middle School.
Thanks again.

My congratulations to all the students and organizers of this great event! If you’re curious what we’ve been doing with this program here in the States, which we have used to introduce 13,000 students to fluid power since 2008, I would suggest you check out our brand new Fluid Power Challenge website at: https://nfpahub.com/fpc/
