NFPA Members Bring Real-World Fluid Power to Students

fluid power on snow plowOn Friday, March 31st, 72 students on 19 teams filled the gymnasium at Waukesha Community Technical College to compete against their peers in the Fluid Power Action Challenge, sponsored by Price Engineering and Eaton Corporation. But this competition day went a step further. In addition to the competition, FORCE America and Waukesha County DPW coordinated to display a municipal snow plow truck. The truck was equipped with electric over hydraulic front plow, wing plow, dump bed and sander that are controlled by FORCE America hydraulics and electronic controls, which provided a practical demonstration of fluid power in everyday applications for the students.
